Our children are in great danger!

The impending war between India and Pakistan also threatens our orphans from Lahore, the direct location of the residential centre in Kasur to the Indian border is extremely precarious...

Update from our employee Anthony Javed:

I hope this message reaches you in good health and good humour. I am writing on behalf of the Anthony Foundation, a non-profit organisation dedicated to the welfare and protection of vulnerable children in Pakistan. Due to the escalating war conflict between India and Pakistan near the eastern border of Lahore, our target area where our children currently live is only 17.1 kilometres away from the Line of Control.
Since 7th May 2025 when Pakistan received the first surgical strike and India launched Operation Sindoor and hit 9 areas in Pakistan including Lahore. After that, India launched drone attacks and sent 77 drones into Pakistan, including Lahore, the capital of Punjab province. Now both countries are threatening each other with nuclear weapons.
These children are now faced not only with the trauma of war, but also with the daily struggle for basic needs - shelter, food and psychological support. We are currently caring for the orphans, but our resources are extremely limited. We urgently ask for your financial support to: Provide food, water, emergency bags and first aid. Your support could make a life-saving difference at a time when these children need it most. We hope for your support through your prayers and quick financial help !

Yours, Anthony Javed

Note: Currently the children are unable to leave their shelters as the threat of drone and fighter jet attacks prevents them from going about their day normally. Due to the direct proximity to the Indian border (31 km. ) the children cannot go to school or play at the moment. The deafening noise of the fighter planes is very frightening for the children. The adults are also completely overwhelmed by the situation. Please help to ensure that the current situation does not cause further problems due to a lack of food and pray that this conflict will soon calm down.
